TAX PLANNING
Are you paying lots of taxes? Do you wonder if you should be paying less? Tax planning is all about lowering your taxes, by changing or rearranging your finances. Its free money, and its completely legal.
Have you been thinking about buying a house but wonder what the tax advantage would be in real numbers? Have you thought about incorporating your business but you haven't because you're not sure how much it will really benefit you? We can run the numbers and give you a solid tax projection.
If you are a high-wage employee (>$150,000 in earned income), you've probably figured out that most deductions and credits are phased-out for you. There are tax strategies for you, too!

TAX FORMS
If you are doing your own return, for additional tax help you can link to all federal and state tax forms here. For Federal tax forms, the best place to go to for up-to-date forms is the IRS website. Click here to find their Forms and Publications page, where you can search for forms, instructions, and publications by form number, publication number, a topical index, previous year forms, and more.
Form 1040 is the standard income tax form for individuals and families. Form 1040A is the "short form" for individuals and families, and covers the most common income types, deductions and credits. Form 1040EZ is an even simpler short form that you can use only if your return is extremely simple; read the instructions to make sure you qualify (the list is too long to include here).
Form 1120 is the tax form for C-Corporations, and Form 1120S is the tax form for S-Corporations. All corporations are started as C Corps; you have to file an S-Corp election in order to get S-Corp tax treatment.
Form 1065 is the tax form for partnerships.
Form 1041 is the tax form for fiduciary returns, such as trusts and estates.
Pub. 17 is the reference publication for preparing individual tax returns. For everything else, there is a search box on the page in the upper right corner of the page.
